“Got
milk? Yeah -- too much. The U.S. is producing so much extra milk that
dairy farmers have to dump the excess in dirt pits because they can’t sell it
all.”
This
is headline from Bloomberg!
Quick
search on Internet proofs that the same happens in Japan!!!
Is it
true? It is outrageous. For so many reasons. Not only because we have famine
problem in some countries (America included) but also because of unbelievable level
of wastage of resources… imagine what we could do if CEO’s and people responsible
for strategies in those wasteful companies were thinking in more modern way,
not just in profit terms and “to outsell the competition”…
Outrageous….
UK tops chart of EU food waste.
This one is from Guardian .
“Comforting to know Britons
approach to food and wastage. And when was last time you actually have seen anything
about the topic on the news of front pages! But when we do “great charitable
actions and fundraisers” with SuperStars
and Celebrities going the extra mile to do what supposed to be ordinary.. well… You got my drift…
“Whole Foods just admitted to overcharging. In a two-minute YouTube video, Whole Foods co-CEOs John Mackey and Walter Robb apologized for what they call "certain pricing issues in [their] New York City stores.”
This
headline is from HuffPost.
I
have one question – will they give money back to those overcharged or just “I am
sorry from co-CEO, will have to suffice….
